The local family owned Zardo Organic Pasta Restaurant offers a fresh, healthy and organic feast for any family with discriminating tastes! At Zardo’s you are the chef – you choose your own homemade organic noodle shape, flavor, sauce and ingredients. The Napolitano style wood fired baked pizzas are made with 100% organic wheat flower and natural spring water. They are made 11 different mouthwatering ways or you can be the chef and create your own. If you are not a pasta or pizza lover, the homemade wood fired casseroles, ravioli or lasagna are made from Bianca’s (the owner) family recipes originating from Veneto, Italy. When you come in, make sure to ask for Bianca, as she is always glad to meet customers and share her passion for Italian food. She also makes marvelous pies and desserts, available daily, from seasonal ingredients. If you are lucky, when you come she will have the Zardo's special chocolate dipped strawberries! Conveniently located on Encinitas Blvd. (between Village Square Dr & Camino De Las Flores), Zardo’s is open Mondays-Saturdays from 11am to 9pm. Recent Yelp Reviews: “I absolutely loved it! Everything on the menu was great. This place could get by as merely a pizza joint because they are that good, however the pasta is why they are famous. My absolute favorite addiction is the basil organic spaghetti with mushroom cream sauce, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, and spinach. Amazing!” ---Larry G. “Friendly service. So many options for pasta. Delicious.” ---Chris C. “Delicious, nutritious, and good for you too. ZARDO is a small, intimate restaurant with an easy to decipher menu from which you select: the pasta, the sauce, the additional ingredients. ALL is handmade in an open kitchen area where you can watch them prepare FRESH foods. You'll taste the difference and appreciate the warm, friendly service…The decor of the place is minimalist and clean. The food arrives on fine dishes and bowls, served with heavy weight silverware. There are a few outside tables available as well. When this place is discovered, it will be packed, so check it out soon. It's hidden behind the Taco Bell and drive-thru coffee place, next to Sage Cafe, on the side street leading to Trader Joe's.” ---Alice C. |
