It’s the most wonderful time of the year…and what better way to spend it than giving back to children in need – while also creating a special memory with your family. CircleBuzz is proud to offer Fantasy on Ice passes with 100% of the proceeds donated to Rady Children’s Hospital. Not only are you getting a great deal on winter passes for outdoor ice skating, but you can feel good knowing that the money goes directly towards helping local children and families via the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Enjoy the festive atmosphere at Horton Square, adjacent to Horton Plaza, where you will be decked out with the latest and greatest soft boot ice skates! All are invited to attend the “Tree Lighting Ceremony,” Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 7:30pm when NBC 7/39 will be broadcasting live from the ice rink. The Fantasy On Ice Family Day will be held on Sunday, December 11th from 1-4pm and includes skating, crafts, entertainment and a visit with Santa (a separate ticket is required for this event, but can be purchased at www.helpsdkids.org/fantasyonice). Family skating is best during the day, where you will find plenty of young children and parents at the rink. As the sun goes down expect more teens in the early evening with faster paced skating. Night sessions are lots of fun with mostly adults trying ice skating and enjoying lively music. Parking is available in the Horton Plaza Mall Parking Garage via 4th and F Street, 2nd and G Street or 3rd and G Street. Keep in mind, the ice rink is not part of Horton Plaza Mall. If you park at the mall, you will need to go to one of the self validation units located at every floor. Validation units are open from 7am to 9pm so make sure you validate before you skate. There are also metered parking spots nearby which are free after 6pm and all day Sundays. When using your season pass, please be prepared to show identification. Season passes cannot be returned or replaced if lost or stolen and cannot be sold or transferred to another person. Over the years, Fantasy on Ice has helped support many psychosocial programs and services offered through Children's Hematology/Oncology Care Center: the bereavement and Celebration of Life, child specialists, social workers, translators, and registered nurses for the school reintegration programs. |
