Just in time for the holiday break! Looking for something fun, educational and different to do with your kids? The San Diego Children's Discovery Museum offers a wholesome, educational, and adventurous gathering place for families with unique hands-on exhibits and programs focusing on science, the arts, and world cultures. The new 6,000 square-foot facility across the street from Grape Day Park in Escondido has an additional 6,000 square-foot outdoor space. Exhibits include the Explorer Discovery Sailboat with toddler area, freshly designed Puppet Theatre with new puppets, and a large Imagination Stage with musical instruments and creative costumes for kids to enjoy. Daily programs include Rockin’ Rhythm (music experimentation), Whacky Wednesday Art (projects using paints and recycled materials) and Drop In Labs (hands-on experiments).
